Equipment and Exercises

Our Equipment

Phoenix Fitness brings exercise equipment to you! You will use the equipment that best suits your goals and personal preferences.

If you already have your own exercise equipment and prefer to use that, that works great too.

Some clients eventually find that they want their own set of equipment so they can continue doing certain exercises on their own. If you are interested in buying your own exercise equipment but need advice, we are here to help you.

Below is a list of some of the exercise equipment we bring to you and the description of what it is used for.

Resistance Bands (with handles)

These bands can be used for arm, core and even some leg strength exercises. The handles are interchangeable with the different color bands. Each color is a different size. The wider the band is, the more tension it carries and the more difficult the exercise is. Most people start with the lightest band and work up from there.

Loop Resistance Bands

These small bands are great for leg exercises. Similar to the resistance bands above, these bands offer different levels of difficulty based on their color/width. When you wrap them around your legs, it forces your leg muscles to work extra hard to perform certain movements.

Dumbbells and Weighted Exercise Balls

Dumbbells and weighted balls are great tools. Both can be added on to many body weight exercises to make them more challenging. Weighted balls are especially useful in partner exercises because you can toss them back and forth.

Foam Rollers + More

Foam rollers help massage and loosen up muscles that are tight. The other tools in the image have the same purpose but just work a little differently.

There are many ways to exercise, utilizing many different forms of equipment. Using weights and resistance bands is one way. But you can also do so many exercises without equipment. There are a variety of exercises that utilize only your body weight and these are some of the best ways to build good form and strength.
